Honeygrow to Pay for Customers’ Parking Tickets

You gotta give it to Justin Rosenberg, owner of Honeygrow, the new stir-fy/salad joint coming to Center City (1601 Sansom): the dude knows how to market.

While Honeygrow won’t open until mid-May, Justin already has City Paper, Foobooz — and now Aroundphilly — hyping it up, and it’s all because of his ingenius marketing strategy.

To coincide with his restaurant’s opening, Justin has announced that Honeygrow will pay for their  customers’ parking tickets. ZUHHH, you ask?

I spoke with Justin this morning, and he explained further, “… at the end of the day, it’s the best way to reach out to the community because the people that work in Center City and live in Center City are most affected by this… this is absolutlely a way to give back to the community.”

Deuce that- I don’t think I’ve ever got my parking validated, let alone a parking ticket fully subsidized.

Justin has allocated $1080 to pay off his customers’ parking transgressions (just don’t get nuts here, people), which should account for 30, $36 fines. But he’s also got another promo going that will sweeten the deal for those of you who are sans vehicle: Ten customers who upload Instagram photos of themselves eating at Honeygrow will receive $150 to be used for a monthly rail pass.

Right. On.

Check out Honeygrow’s Facebook page for more details on the promo. If this opening is any indication, I’d expect lots of amazing things to come from Honeygrow in the future.
