Boot and Saddle Will Reopen Sometime Next Year

City Paper reports that Four Corners Management (owner of Lucy’s, Drinker’s and Union Transfer) has won their appeal to bring the defunct Boot and Saddle venue on South Broad Street back to life.

As we reported last week, the Boot and Saddle’s owners were having a tough time getting the South Broad Street Neighbors Association to agree to the relaunch, as neighbors were concerned about unwanted noise pollution and rowdy crowds. A meeting was held last Tuesday to gauge support from nearby residents and, apparently, it went swimmingly for the bar’s proponents.

Owner Avram Hornik seems to have struck a compromise with the SBSNA, agreeing to soundproof the venue and end all live performances by 12:30 am. The bar and venue will reportedly be open from 5 pm to 2 am, seven days a week, and R5 will be tasked with booking acts for the show.

Hornik tells City Paper that construction will start this summer and that the venue should be open sometime in 2013. Just be sure to keep the noise down, some of us live around the corner (wink).
