The parents of the passenger who died along with Ryan Dunn after he crashed his Porsche 911 GT3 are now suing the former “Jackass” star’s estate for damages. They’ve also filed a suit against the popular West Chester bar Barnaby’s, where Dunn had reportedly been drinking before the incident.
Authorities indicate that Dunn’s alcohol level was twice the legal limit on the night of June 20th, 2011 and that he was driving 140 mph before crashing into a tree while attempting to exit the West Chester bypass. The remaining family of Zachary Hartwell, Dunn’s passenger, are seeking the wages that Zachary would have earned over the course of his lifetime, while the lawsuit against Barnaby’s alleges that Dunn was over-served.
