Oops: Philly.com Posts NSFW Image of Bolaris’ Fiance Next to Sesame Place Ad

Philly.com often treads into the shallow waters of crass celebrity gossip (note: so do we, but we’re not a long-standing, prestigious news outlet.) Yesterday, however, someone decided to wade a little further out than usual by posting a semi-nude photo of John Bolaris’ fiance onto Philly.com.

Apparently, Bolaris’ fiance tweeted the photo to followers, and the subsequent gossip story was pulled about a half-hour later, according to a Jim Romenesko tipster. To make matters worse, the image appeared directly below an ad for Sesame Place.

We, of course, will happily post the screenshot that was taken before the story got deleted, because our dreams of getting a pulitzer prize went out the window years ago.

Executive producer of entertainment at Philly.com, Leah Kauffman, later repsonded to the incident, saying, “We apologize for the production glitch that allowed an inappropriate photo to accompany this story earlier this morning. We have since removed the photo and are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again.”
