A Casual Alternative

Bar Noir is a nightlife staple in Philadelphia and it's a nice casual respite from the otherwise upscale Rittenhouse crowd. The locals love it and celebrities are always making cameos at it, which proves they're doing something right. Expect something out of the ordinary for sure, with every night guaranteeing girls dancing on tables, a male bartender with his shirt off and a nightly DJ spinning all kinds of tunes. It's in the basement beneath Liquid on 18th street and is a little dingy and tight, which can cause be somewhat of a claustophobic experience.

It seems like the Vegas of Philly where everyone seems to lose their inhibitions and there is no pretention whatsoever. It is the quintessential Philly bar that is all about the fun and all about anonymity. And with VIP this and that popping up all over, it is refreshing to see a spot that caters to all the crowds.
