A Teens' Jean Dream
April 9, 2004
By: Kristin Munro - kristinm@aycmedia.com

Suburban chicks with metro fashion sensibility have long known about Smith Bros.

A typical day in one of their eight locations is to witness trios of teens and college girls, swarming from rack to rack, gushing over the new greatest pair of jeans that they'll absolutely die if they don't have. It's understandable. Every top-notch pair of jeans is sold at Smith Bros. Miss Sixty (Britney's a fan), Blue Cult (Gwenyth buys in bulk), Seven for All Mankind, and Citizens of Humanity are a few of the big brands for the decadent denim heart.

To be truly on the pulse of fashion this season, scope out James Jeans for a great rear lift and Chip and Pepper's beat up, low-rise jeans for hip-hugging curves. No, they won't pop out of a dressing room to help you like they do on The Style Network's "Look for Less" but you'll be rushing to the register in utter happiness. Just the same as if- when- you pick up Juicy Couture's terry cloth two-piece in Grass, a must-have according to Elisa Shulick, wife of Smith Bros owner, Wayne Shulick.

Accessorize your new jeans with Splendid tees in Easter egg colors and double-layered Sweetees tube tops, fun enough for daytime and dressy enough for nighttime. Pick up lilo undies to avoid that pesky thong peeking out of the top of your new ultra low-rises. Other best bets this season are anything covered in floral prints and vintage logo tees.

Even better- shop Smith Bros on the web. It's not the same as piling ten pairs of jeans over your shoulder on the way to the dressing room but you'll still get that giddy feeling adding one item after another to your online shopping cart.
