Beer and Cheese for Father's Day

Nothing screams "I love you Dad" more than a two-hour food tour filled with local Philly microbrews and samplings of delectable cheeses. In the spirit of Father’s Day, the Craft Beer & Artisanal Cheese Tours will be given on one weekend to honor the most important man in your life. The event will take place on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, beginning at 3:30pm. If this weekend does not fit into your schedule, gift certificates are available through City Food Tours, which offer a variety of food adventures in Philly.

There's no better way to start a tour than sampling a flight of eight beers at the Triumph Brewing Company. You may even learn something new about beer, aside from losing your inhibitions when you drink too much.

The next stop on the tour is to the Old City Cheese Shop, where every guest receives five samples of both domestic and imported cheeses. While you're there, an expert will also teach you how to pair wine with various cheeses and different types of meals. You will be sure to leave the event a polished connoisseur and will impress guests at your next cocktail party.

Dad will now put those tacky cheese knives you gave him years ago to good use. Who knows, maybe he’ll even keep the fridge stocked with more than just Bud Light after this enlightening journey.
