Bowling for Boobies
Join Busted Foundation’s annual charity bowling tournament, Bowling for Boobies on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 6-9pm at the North Bowl Lounge & Lanes in Downtown Philadelphia. There will be prizes and awards for top fundraisers and bowlers. Additionally, each team will receive gift bags and event t-shirts courtesy of Music City Merchandise as well as the first book from the new series, Sex, Life, & Hannah. A donation of just $20 will also get you one free hour of bowling including bowling shoes, food and drinks. There will also be raffles, complimentary appetizers, PINKY vodka cocktails, Estrella Creek Wines, and a meeting with the women who benefited from the foundation’s past events. This event will support the Busted Foundation in its effort to provide financial assistance to local women currently in treatment for breast cancer.
2nd Annual Young Friends Event at Breast Health International’s Black Tie Gala
The Young Friends event begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for young professionals at the five-star Rittenhouse Hotel on Friday, Oct. 29 from 9 – 11:30pm. They will then join one of the most anticipated fundraising events in the fall season, the Black Tie Gala, for dessert, dancing, and live music by the Eddie Bruce Band. Guests can also bid on incredible fashion, beauty and sports packages at a silent auction. The tickets are $100 for members and $125 for non- members which includes an annual membership. Young Friends also supports the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health in clinical research, education and public awareness for breast cancer. Proceeds from the Black Tie Gala will fund Breast Health International’s Seventh Consensus Conference in Philadelphia.
Breastcancer.org Presents Rock the Ribbon 10 Year Anniversary Celebration
Rock out with breastcancer.org Rock the Ribbon 10 Year Anniversary Celebration’s grand finale with a concert by award-winning performer, Harry Connick Jr. at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music on Oct. 30 at 8pm.Ticket prices start at $150. The event will support Breastcancer.org in its continuous effort to remain the number one source of information of breast health and breast cancer.
Fashioned for a Cure Charity Fashion Show
Come and support the Fashioned for a Cure Charity Fashion Show at Macy’s Moorestown Mall on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 1 – 4pm. Featured will be Macy’s chic designer collections and accessories. Fashioned for a Cure works in conjunction with Macy’s of Moorestown Shop for a Cause 2010 campaign where they will host the 5th Annual Shop for a Cause to benefit charities nationwide. Additionally, when guests shop on Oct. 16 using their $5 pass, they will get 20% savings on almost all regular, sale, and clearance merchandise. Customers will also be able to win a free $500 gift card. Fashioned for a Cure will benefit the American Cancer Society in funding research to cure all types of cancer.
Author Hosts Events To Turn Kids Into Champions Against Breast Cancer
Kerri Conner, author of the book, My Mommy Has Breast Cancer, But She Is Ok as well as the founder of the Maddie Movement will be hosting several events during October to teach children ages 2-12 a basic understanding of the disease. The events include one on Oct. 1 from 7-9pm in Booktender’s Secret Garden in Doylestown. It will feaure a book reading, crafts and various activities. Another fun event includes a ‘Mommy & Me’ book reading (including pastries and snacks) at the Lolli Lolli Boutique in Philadelphia on Oct. 10 from 10:30am – noon. Trump Taj Mahal 2nd Annual “Pink Angels” Night
Join the Trump Taj Mahal in their 2nd Annual “Pink Angel” Night inside of Ego Bar and Lounge in Atlantic City on Friday, Oct. 22 from 6-10pm. Guests are encouraged to wear pink, sip pink specialty drinks and hors d’oeuvres while enjoying the musical sounds of the Almost Angels band. There will also be opportunities to bid on fabulous items including trips, headliner entertainment, sporting event tickets, dining certificates, and spa packages. Additionally, a “Pink Jack” Tournament will be held beginning at 6:30pm.
