I have a feeling high school kids are going to be a lot more interested in William Shakespeare once we add Shakespeare to the list of notorious cannabis users like Marley, Dogg and Nelson. Francis Thackeray, a South American anthropologist, claims he found, “…cannabis residue (along with cocaine) on clay pipe fragments found in Shakespeare’s garden,” in a 2001 study. Well I’m convinced; guess it’s time to put him on this month’s issue of High Times and for stoners everywhere to start calling their shake, well obviously, Shakespeare.
“How far that little candle throws its beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world.”
- William Shakespeare
Yeah, probably stoned.
