Local Comedy Group Successfully Uses a Puppet

If you’re into comedy- meaning you actually follow comedians’ careers and aren’t just really into Jeff Dunham- you know that there are two universal truths: The first is that any time a comedian picks up a guitar you’re about to subjected to one of the worst live performance styles in the world.  The second is that using a puppet or ventriloquist dummy will virtually guarantee an epic failure every single time.

But, as Nick Thune and now Philly’s comedy group Bird Text know, there are exceptions to every rule. The guys behind one of the best local comedy sketches, The Real Househusbands of Philadelphia, have released a new video entitled “Birds of a Feather” and it has managed to pull of the unprecedented comedic achievement that is successfully incorporating a puppet into a sketch.
