Actress Kim Delaney was removed from the National Constitution Center stage while she was delivering a strange and bumbling speech at Thursday night’s ceremony honoring former Defense Secretary Robert Gates with the Liberty Medal Award. The Army Wives actress seemed to be having trouble reading the teleprompter and at one point said, “As I try to comfort wives, husbands, families, fathers, children…loved ones, made good, what I’ve learned is the Constitution Center.” Sort of reminds me of a speech I gave in 6th grade once.
A handler then escorted her off the stage after an abrupt interruption by an announcer. Take a look.
