One week ago, 23-year-old Kevin Kless died after being brutally attacked by three men in Old City. Now, Felix Carrillo, Steven Ferguson, and Kenneth Santiago are being charged for the murder of the Temple grad. The arrests came after an anonymous tipster claimed he heard Feguson bragging about assaulting a “white kid.”
Police are confident they’ve apprehended the right suspects, reporting that at least one of the three men have confessed to the attack.
According to the Inquirer, Steven Ferguson was employed by Towne Park, a company that contracts valets to hotels, and was working at the Sheraton Society Hill. While trying to hail a cab in the early morning on January 14th, Kless yelled to a different cab driver to turn off his lights indicating that he was on duty. But reports suggest Ferguson and two others may have thought Kless was yelling at them, which may have prompted the assault that led to Kless’s death.
