After struggling throughout last year’s season, Jayson Werth may have hit one of his best home runs ever yesterday, when the Nats took on the Mets.
But if you strongly loathe him for leaving Philly to collect a seven-year, $126 million contract, you’ll be happy to know that Werth is still battling some pretty vengeful karma… .232 batting average karma, to be precise.
After hitting an impressive home run yesterday and sending the ball straight out the park, Werth later learned from a groundskeeper that the ball landed squarely on his own truck.
“Can’t win,” Werth told reporters after the game.
