And for some horrible news to take you into the weekend: TMZ reports that MCA, rapper for The Beastie Boys, has died. The 47-year-old, whose real name is Adam Yauch, was treated in 2009 for a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node, but it’s not clear yet whether his illness caused his pre-mature death.
Russell Simmons’ website, Global Grind, broke the news initially, stating that Adam Yauch had “passed this morning after a long bout with cancer.”
