PennDOT’s Hilariously Gruesome Fail

PennDOT catches a lot of shit for being somewhat incompetent and having a generally lousy attitude, but this photo proves that someone within their ranks actually possesses a sense of humor.

The raccoon, which was not actually killed by the PennDOT paint crew (reportedly), was found by passing motorcyclist Sean McAfee. According to a PennDOT traffic engineer, the crew immediately realized their mistake but could not maneuver their paint-spraying truck to circle back and fix the mistake.

I guess they sort of wanted someone to find this, because all they really had to do was hop off the truck and kick the thing to the side of the road. Anyway, PennDOT claims that crews were sent out the following day to remove the dead carcass and repaint the lines.

did you ever see how big a line painting truck is you just can’t stop them on the roadway to “hop off the truck and kick the thing to the side of the road”. furthermore the foreman of the crew is suppose to drive ahead of the paint truck to warn them or take care of obstructions like that but he could not be available because of other more important work. so before you laugh and make fun at the PennDOT workers learn about what your talking about
