Christina Wilson, originally from Phillipsburg, NJ, has won the tenth season of Fox’s hit reality competition series, Hell’s Kitchen and a $250,000 gig as executive chef at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas.
The 32-year-old was the chef de cuisine of Mercato, located at Spruce and 13th streets, but she left the restaurant at the beginning of the season, claiming her departure had nothing to do with the show.
In fact, she had been carefully making claims about her next cooking job, so as not to reveal that she had won the competition.
Unlike many chefs, Wilson received a formal culinary training. While at West Chester and Temple University, she waited tables to pay for tuition and begged the chefs in those restaurants for cooking lessons.
According to Reality Wanted’s exclusive interview, Wilson has begun a whirlwind tour of media and press, and she starts training for the position in Las Vegas today.
