Those of you who routinely travel to the Jersey shore already know that traffic on the Garden State Parkway is damn near chaotic. Thankfully, someone in charge over there has answered your silent prayers.
In an effort to reduce congestion, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority broke ground today on a new project that will eventually eradicate all traffic lights on the Parkway. Yes, this is really happening, guys!
The project is an expensive venture, costing $110 million, and it will ultimately carry local traffic over bridges which will be built through Interchanges 9, 10 and 11. So, prepare to say goodbye to your traffic light-induced migraines and hello to your toll both-induced migraines!
