Chaddsford Barrel Tasting Dinner

Seating is still available to sample new wines from Chaddsford Winery's 2004 Futures at the winemaker's annual Barrel Tasting Dinner. Proprietors Eric and Lee Miller will host the five-course, candle-lit meal in the winery's cellar. Dual wine pairings will accompany the eclectic menu prepared by The Golden Sheaf Restaurant of the Hilton Harrisburg, with highlights like spice-rubbed duck breast and grilled lamb chops. Novice wine lovers might find the spirits rough on the taste buds; Eric Miller warns that these tastings involve sampling wines still in the process of developing in the barrel. Still, it's a unique opportunity to taste wine that has a long way to go before being bottled and sold.
