Martinis, mojitos…daiquiris? Yes, the frosty, frothy indulgence of resort vacationers and casino goers is getting a much-needed image makeover thanks to Rum Bar. Owner Adam Kanter was so inspired by SaveTheDaiquiri.com’s crusade to rescue this classic cocktail (the proper daiquri - no umbrella or blender needed) from obscurity that he’s started his own hometown campaign by adding a few new cocktails to the menu. First up is the Hemingway, named after the American author and daiquiri enthusiast. Kanter has given a few updates to the soury-sweet grapefruit libation, which he was only too happy to share with Aroundphilly.com readers to make at home.
