JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is dedicated to finding a cure to diabetes. On Sunday, October 24th, you can have a chance to help them by participating in the South Jersey Walk to Cure Diabetes. This year, the chapter is hoping to raise more than $1 million dollars to contribute to research for finding a cure for diabetes and its complications. Over 5,000 walkers will be in Camden participating in the fundraising efforts, representing families, schools, corporations, and other organizations. In the U.S., there are approximately 14 million Americans that have some type of a personal connection to type I diabetes - even if you don't have a connection to someone, come out to help your community and do some good.
