More than 340 supporters and friends of the Steppingstone Scholars celebrated at its eighth annual Spring Salsa for the organization’s tenth anniversary year. The museum was transformed into a hot Latin lounge and guests enjoyed exotic cocktails and an eclectic dinner while mingling and dancing to the sounds of the band, The Quake. The event raised more than $290,000 to fund Steppingstone’s talented inner city fourth graders, preparing them for acceptance into top college preparatory schools in the Philadelphia area.

A cocktail party took place in celebration of the new Spring bistro menu

The Party 2009 was presented by Donors Are Heroes on Tuesday, April 15 2009 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. All proceeds raised at the 6th Annual Fundraising Party were donated to the non-profit agency, Gift of Life Donor Program. The Gift of Life Donor Program raises awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation as well as recovering organs that are donated to patients in need. The "Party" was held at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue and the night was filled with good company, drinks, food and music.

Morton's The Steakhouse, Philadelphia launched their new cocktail menu featuring drinks from $12-$15. Morton's new offerings include a masterly mix of drinks that will wake up taste buds for the season.
These new creative cocktails that celebrate the season include: a Heavenly Palm Beach Passion ($14) making life seem like a day at the beach with fresh lemon juice, Palm Beach Infusion, X Rated Passion Fruit Liqueur, and heavenly foam; a Heavenly Strawberry Mint Margarita ($14), full of so many flavors it will add a "spring" in anyone's step combining fresh strawberries, fresh mint, fresh lime juice, Cuervo Gold, Cointreau and heavenly foam; a Cherry Bomb ($12), sure to get the party started with Three Olives Cherry Vodka and Red Bull; and the perfect calming effect Cool as a Cucumber ($12), a mix of Absolut 100, St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur, Ginger Beer, fresh lime juice and fresh cucumber.
