Think you’re funny? Well, you’re probably not, but that won’t keep you from becoming a professional comedian (just ask Dane Cook). Give your own luck a shot courtesy of Philadelphia funnyman Brad Trackman, a regular on the New York City comedy circuit, and the Philadelphia Comedy Academy.
Trackman hosts an ongoing monthly workshop concentrating on developing and polishing a five-minute stand-up set. Learning to score cheap laughs doesn’t come cheap though. The workshop, which includes three group sessions and a one-hour one-on-one with Trackman, is priced at $400. When the workshop is over you’ll get a chance to test your talents with a Saturday-night slot at Philadelphia’s famed Helium Club.
