Description: Just like everything else at the Comcast Center—57 floors, 83-foot wide hi-def video wall, 500-seat dining court—bigger certainly seems to be better. In that respect, Table 31 doesn’t disappoint, and partners George Perrier and Chris Scarduzio have captured the feel of a high-end steakhouse perhaps even better than the corporate chains that are in the business of beef. The expansive space reflects the corporate vibe that’s so inherent here, all clean lines and dark hues, and the menu boasts super-sized cuts of meat, entrée-sized appetizers and potent specialty cocktails. The menu also offers a generous selection of seafood starters like shellfish salad and pan seared sea scallops. Aroundphilly.com favorites include the cavatelli with crispy guanciale, braised beef short ribs in red wine sauce and lobster mashed potatoes. As difficult as it will be, leave room for dessert. The pbj, an haute rendition of this kiddie classic, is not to be missed.
