Description: As much of a meeting spot as a historic market place, the Reading Terminal, open since 1892, is where a cross-section of the city’s population – tourists and locals, old and young, take-out lovers and self-proclaimed foodies – come seven days a week to shop for produce, meat, baked goods and more. Of the roughly 80 merchants who call the Terminal home, standouts include the Dutch Eating Place, Bassett’s Ice Cream, Delilah’s at the Terminal, Little Thai Market and Salumeria. Reading Terminal also boasts a number of ethnic restaurants and specialty food stands.
