Description: This hands-on science museum originally opened in 1824 to honor Benjamin Franklin's ingenuity. As Philly's most visited museum today, the Franklin Institute offers a Planetarium, IMAX theatre, and various exhibits to educate and entertain visitors.

Insider Tips: The Tuttleman IMAX® Theater is open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Franklin Institute is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
