The Aroundphilly.com staff sometimes get up from their desk to (*gasp*) do more than microwave a burrito. Once every crescent moon you can find the staff congregated in the meeting room, surrounded by pizza, Red Bull and notepads. From these meetings comes some of our best articles.

Old signs, beat-up billboards and the crumbling facades of Philadelphia's oft-forgotten neighborhoods becoming momentarily beautiful when captured in the lens of Zoe Strauss. The local photographer's latest installation - complete with a slide show - hangs in the ramp space of the Institute of Contemporary Art, the ninth in a series of temporary works commissioned for the ramp. The exhibit is part of Strauss' Philadelphia Public Art Project, a 10-year initiative by the artist documenting overlooked neighborhoods of the city.

Through July 30, Wed. to Fri., noon - 8pm; Sat.- Sun., 11am - 5pm, $2 - $3, Institute of Contemporary Art, 118 S. 36th St., Philadelphia, 215.898.7108; www.icaphila.org
