Brat Productions presents Carrie Location: Underground Arts at the Wolf Building - 340 North 12th St. Neighborhood: North Philly Date: October 2nd, 2010 thru Nov 7, 2010 Time: Most showtimes are at 7 or 8 PM; some at 2 PM or 11 PM Price: $15-29
After the success of their show Haunted Poe, Brat Productions is back this fall with Erik Jackson's black comedy Carrie, based on the 1974 novel by Stephen King. However, this is Carrie like you've never seen it before - the show is still a blood-soaked horror thrill ride, but throw in comedic twists, stunning special effects (think flying knives, exploding light bulbs, a burning high school), and a cross-dressing Carrie, and you have the perfect Halloween treat. Erik Ransom will be playing the telekinetic outcast Carrie in drag, and the cast features notable supporting actors Leah Walton, Bradley Wrenn, Mariel Rosati, Bethany Ditnes, Jess Conda, and others, all helping to make it the best bloody prom you could ever see.
