Deca Dance
Expand your understanding of dance around the world when Israel’s Batsheva Dance Company makes its Philadelphia debut with the premiere of Deca Dance. The show is a compilation of eight works by artistic director Ohad Naharin with music ranging from J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations to a remix of “Over the Rainbow” and even an Arabic pop score. The diverse performances, which even use audience members in one of its acts, is inspired by themes of social revolt, folk dances and everyday life. Mark Bittman
