Dante and Luigi’s Old School Cool
Being the oldest Italian restaurant in Philadelphia, Dante & Luigi’s knows a thing or two about the classics. To celebrate over 100 years of authentic cuisine, owners Michael and Connie La Russa will present Old School Cool, spotlighting familiar Italian favorites at throwback prices. Global Grooves World Music Dance Parties
You consider yourself “worldly” but your weekends are often spent in bars that feature Bon Jovi cover bands and too-drunk patrons. Luckily, July 10 marks the beginning of the Kimmel Center’s Global Grooves World Music Dance Parties. The Perelman Theatre will be transformed into a nightclub and bar scene, where you can check out the best in international music. The series includes Algerian raï, Latin-alt folklorico, Balkan-Latin-jazz-pop, and an African tribute to James Brown.
