Tucked into the back corner of the Piazza at Schmidt’s is the recently opened Swift Half Pub, a microbrew heaven (for summer brews, try Bells Oberon and PBC's Fleur de Lehigh from the tap or a bottle of Duchesse de Bourgogne).
Large spanning windows inside the dark-wood pub are left ajar, opening the room to a view of the al fresco dining area in the piazza. Every night the Swift Half Pub serves up 10 local microbrews on tap and the menu is full of small-portioned items perfect for trying most of the dishes the kitchen is dolling out. Make sure you order to parallel your beer selection (the waiter can help you with this), and bring a group so you can take full advantage tasting everything.
Late-night burgers and pizza are so college. The kitchen is open until 1am everyday so you can stop by for high-class drunken munchies like lamb lollipops or cucumber sandwiches (which is perfect on a hot summer day with a pale ale). For tapas-haters, opt for the bacon cheeseburger, rack of ribs or just a Bells and sit back and enjoy the new Northern Liberties that Swift Half is helping to make
